It’s hard to believe it has been 15 years since the premiere of Dancing With the Stars on ABC. Season 1 of the reality dance competition debuted on June 1, 2005 — and featured celebrities such as future winner Kelly Monaco.
The pro dancers, which included Louis Van Amstel and Alec Mazo, proved to be just as popular as the famous amateur dancers, with many becoming household names themselves.
The show was such a hit with fans that Season 2 premiered six months later with 10 couples and introduced viewers to even more amazing pro dancers such as Maksim Chmerkovskiy, Tony Dovolani, and Cheryl Burke.
